Calrec CSCP Module
This module provides integration with Calrec audio consoles using the CSCP (Calrec Serial Control Protocol).
Configuration
- Target IP: The IP address of your Calrec console
- Target Port: The port number for CSCP communication (default: 23)
Connection Status
A network outage does not close the TCP connection, so the module keeps the link honest by probing the console whenever it has gone quiet. If the console does not answer, the connection goes to Disconnected / Reconnecting within about 6 seconds and the module retries until the console is reachable again.
Actions
- Set Fader Cut: Toggle or set the cut (mute) state of a fader
- Set Fader PFL: Toggle or set the PFL (Pre-Fade Listen) state of a fader
- Set Fader Level: Set the fader level using the 0-1023 range
- Set Fader Level (dB): Set the fader level using dB values
Feedbacks
- Fader Cut State: Visual feedback when a fader is cut
- Fader PFL State: Visual feedback when a fader has PFL active
Variables
The module provides variables for each fader (1-256):
fader_X_level: Current fader level (0-1023)fader_X_level_db: Current fader level in dBfader_X_label: Fader labelfader_X_pfl: PFL state (On/Off, or Unknown — see below)fader_X_cut: Cut state (On/Off)
The console reports PFL only when it changes, and answers a PFL state request with "off" no
matter what the fader is really doing. PFL therefore starts as Unknown after connecting and
becomes accurate as soon as that fader's PFL is switched. The PFL feedback treats Unknown as
inactive.
Presets
Pre-configured button presets are available for the first 16 faders, including cut and PFL toggle buttons.
