New Logo
First things first - check out the brand new Buttons logo! This is the icon you will see after downloading Buttons v1.6 - hope you like it.
Free Tier Updates
We've made some changes to the Free Tier to allow you to properly test out Buttons without having to make a purchase. With 2 surfaces you can now experience the power of Positions and stacking your surfaces!
- 2 Surfaces
- 16x16 Routing
- 32 Cues total
- 32 Workflow Nodes
- 32 Connections
User Management
User management is now ready for production use. You can create and manage users directly in Buttons, with full single sign‑on support for Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra, Okta, and GitHub.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
You can now define exactly who can view or edit specific parts of your system. You can also use these roles to grant access directly on your surfaces with a connected PIN/NFC card.
Enterprise SSO & Passkeys
No more managing a list of separate passwords. We now support Google, Microsoft Entra, GitHub, and Okta. You can even use Passkeys (WebAuthn)
User Session Avatars
See who else is in the editor in real-time. It's like a collaborative document for your broadcast control.
High Availability
High Availability is now ready for production use. You can run Buttons in a clustered setup for resilient live production environments, including support for fully air‑gapped installations via offline license assignment.
For setups that simply cannot fail, Buttons now supports redundant deployments with instant failover. If one piece of hardware goes down, the standby takes over immediately.
Linux standalone builds
Buttons now runs as a standalone application on Linux, alongside macOS and Windows, giving you more flexibility on what hardware you choose to run your control system on.
