# Internal workflow nodes

> Run Buttons' own actions or read its built-in feedback from a workflow, without a connection module.

Use these nodes to call Buttons actions or read Buttons feedback that is not supplied by a connection. Choose a node Internal Action : run an action provided by buttons itself Internal Feedback : read a true-or-false condition reported by buttons Internal Action Run an action provided by Buttons itself. What you see in the editor Choose the internal action from the dropdown on the card. Its options appear below once chosen, or connect a value to the separate Action handle to choose the action dynamically at runtime instead, overriding the dropdown. Connect an event to Event to run the action: this is currently the only way to trigger it from the card; there's no control for running it on a value change or at workflow startup. Connections Kind Label What it provides Input event Event Runs the action. Input Action Overrides the dropdown with a dynamically connected action key. Inputs Action option handles Connected values supply the selected action’s options. If the action fails, the node reports it through its own error state, the same border indicator described in Read what a node's border is telling you , not through a separate output event. Example Connect a Button event to a Set Workflow Enabled internal action set to Toggle , so each press enables or disables another workflow. To change a workflow variable from inside a workflow, use the Workflow Variable Write node instead: Set Workflow Variable isn't offered in this node. Internal Feedback Read a true-or-false condition reported by Buttons. What you see in the editor Choose the internal feedback and complete the options shown on the node. The current result appears beside State . Connections Kind Label What it provides Output State The current feedback result. Example Read whether a workflow is enabled and connect State to a Display or gate.
